On the eleventh of August 2022, a 32-year-old Peruvian Harvard Kennedy Faculty scholar, Rodrigo Ventocilla Ventosilla, was pronounced lifeless at a hospital in Denpasar, Indonesia, whereas in police custody. In line with experiences, Rodrigo was earlier arrested over hashish possession and was allegedly discriminated towards and maltreated by the police.
